Online shoping with Credit card in South Korea
Online shopping in South Korea has lots of topics. Especially the verification program will be the most controversial issue.
Personally I am shopping in overseas online malls from time to time by my credit card then I never had any difficulty during payment. Sometimes I have been afraid because those malls confirmed my order too fast.
I feel that this process is easy enough if we know some English.
One more step to pay by credit card in South Korean online: Payment verification
However, here our country South Korea has little complicated secure system. Always we must pass one more step;
-Payment verification by "App card" application of each credit card
-Or downloading secure program then reload shopping process.
Most of Koreans prefer Credit card in online (in offline as well) then we have already downloaded this "App card" application in our smart phone.
(There are more options of payment in South Korea such as Bank transfer, etc but this time I will talk about credit card only.)

App card application process when we pay in online shop
I will show you one example how this verification program is working actually.
The example is our shopping mall foxseoul.shop. (Keep in mind that normal Korean shopping mall is in Korean, no option for PAYPAL)
- Choose payment method as credit card.
2. Then pops up one square box to choose the credit card we want to use. I chose BC card.
3. When I clicked BC card, the ISP Paybook (App card of BC) is coming automatically. It gives us two optiones 1. verifying payment or 2. download App for new user.
4. I chose "verification (or paying it now)".
To verify it by this App, we need to scan QR code or fill out the digits cord given by shopping mall.
Finally the last process, enter our own password". That's it.
If you are foreigner who has online shopped without this kind of complicated step before coming to Korea, you would feel really uncomfortable.
There is lots of arguments about this additional process, but anyway using this App is easier than other way in this high technology country. (haha)
